Motion that makes
the next step clear.

From a gentle fade to a workspace transition
19 base animations & CSS helpers
Directional slides, fades, zooms, origins and easing choices. CSS helpers ship with Community; replay, scroll reveal, layout changes and coordinated transitions use the included runtime.
Feedback & loading
Button loading, spinners, skeleton states, soft validation nudges and slower update highlights. Optional ripple, border glow, hover lift and photo zoom give purposeful emphasis.
Layouts & workspaces
Smooth collapse, visibility, stagger and panel changes. Native WorkspaceTransition uses OutSystems placeholders and lifecycle; it does not require a JavaScript router.
Accessible preferences
System respects the operating-system preference. Reduced uses gentle feedback without large movement. Off completes immediately. Repeating decorations can be paused.
The playground starts at 750 ms. Native Blocks retain explicit opt-in controls: use EnableMotion=True, UseDefaultMotionDuration=False and MotionDurationMs=750 to reproduce the demo preset.

Community
Buttons and choices show interaction feedback; overlays animate their opening and closing; form errors nudge softly. Menus, trees, pagination, statistics, collections, media and Grid examples expose their supported motion controls.
Licensed Pro & Charts
Pro gains motion entry points for Grid, workflows and advanced components. Both chart editions animate supported data changes while keeping the original values and keyboard selection available in the data table.
Community remains free under its existing licence. Pro and Charts Pro remain licensed downloads with their existing licence checks.
Corrections included in 1.2.0
- ChipGroup demo selections update independently and reset correctly.
- Skeleton uses one motion owner and respects its paused/non-animated state.
- Image annotation save handlers use the current annotations.
- Heatmap, calendar, treemap and map examples update visible data.
- RadioGroup preserves its input elements when the native screen resends unchanged choices.
- API input tables are generated from the native producer contracts.
Keep existing behavior. Adopt motion where it helps.
Web packages
- Keep your current lockfile and package archives as a rollback.
- Install Community 1.2.0 from npm. Download matching Pro and Charts Pro archives from your account for the editions you use.
- Include Community theme/component CSS and the motion CSS for the helpers you import. Use the documented motion entry points; the original factories remain available.
- Start with one workflow. Verify loading, error, keyboard, Reduced and Off behavior before expanding.

OutSystems 11 Reactive
- Export your current applications and record dependency versions.
- Install the 1.2.0 libraries from Forge before demos or application consumers. Community has no Pro prerequisite; Pro and Charts use compatible Community producers.
- Refresh only affected dependencies, remove unused references, validate, then test your screens.
- Leave
EnableMotion=Falsefor existing behavior. Enable it selectively and retain System/Reduced/Off support. - Use
MotionReplayKeyonly for deliberate replays. Saving data remains your existing server action’s responsibility.
Moving from Community to paid Pro is a separate edition choice. See what Pro adds and how to install it →
Tested, with practical limits
The review combines native interaction checks, Safari keyboard and actual VoiceOver observations, package builds, fresh-install checks and edition boundaries. This is scoped testing, not a full-library accessibility certification.
OutSystems 11 Reactive is the native target. ODC and installation on a second infrastructure are not verified. Keep your current exports and lockfile as a rollback, and test your application’s data, keyboard flows and motion preferences before upgrading.
